The enterprise is a cafe that provides not only standard cafe food but will also offer Indigenous dishes and Indigenous experiences for the tourist and domestic market. The essential reason for choosing to sell Indigenous foods and experiences is because research has shown that the Indigenous foods and cultural market is a growing market and there is a potential for <i>Bough Shed Cafe</i> to grow and maximise its profit from this expanding market.<p>

Suzanne has always had a dream of one-day owning and operating her own business, it has been a life long journey of ensuring that she has made an impact in Australian history towards self determination for her community and culture. she has always had a dream of becoming very successful and to be always a positive role model for her community. It has been a desire of Suzanne to one day reside and re-established her cultural links on her traditional country of the <i>Gabbi Gabbbi</i> people which Eumundi is situated in.<p>

Suzanne's first ever experience of Eumundi was about 6 years ago when she and her young family lived there. They would attend the markets every Saturday and perform for the market goers through presenting a positive voice and image of her culture. Both of her sons would also perform with her. During her stay in Eumundi she developed a greater understanding of the local community and their vision for the future growth of this township. The cafe in which Suzanne wishes to secure investment for is very familiar to her, as she and her sons developed a strong partnership with the then owners. It is in this space that they would perform.<p>

Eumundi just 15 minutes from Noosa, was first settled in 1873 by Joseph Gridley, the first white settler, he established a slab hut on what is now the site of Gridley Homestead B&B. It is this very piece of history that has motivated Suzanne to capture her culture and traditional ties to this region. Hence the birth of 'Bough Shed Cafe'.<p>

Every week the population explodes from the 500 residents to several thousands as visitors from far and near flock to the Eumundi Markets. After the markets, visitors can take the chance to explore this quiet village. There's a blend of old and new in Eumundi, with contemporary art galleries, a boutique winery and brewery, a strawberry farm. Now with the vision of Suzanne and her family a first for Eumundi and the SouthEast Queensland region an exclusively owned and operated Indigenous Cafe, provding all the aspects of Suzanne's culture.<p>

Eumundi Markets is one of Australia's leading tourist attractions and is held every Saturday and Wednesday. This otherwise sleepy hinderland town springs to life in the early hours of the morning, transforming into a vibrant Mecca for shoppers looking for something different. The <i>Bough Shed Cafe</i> will be able to provide these visitors with a truly unique Indigenous experience.<p>
