Dinkum Tough Ducks

Dinkum Tough Duck (Prototype)

Manufacture of craft suitable for use by yachties and recreational fishermen. Using composite products we have been able to replicate the traditional rubber duck in a product that is unsinkable, has durability and is user friendly.

Through Gumbudda CDEP Aboriginal Corporation Aboriginal long term unemployed people were given the opportunity to work with a local boat builder. While hosted with this employer they learnt the skills required to build small craft.

These people have gone on to setting up their own production outlet and have been successful in securing funds from the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations to undertake a feasability study and compile a business plan into the development and expansion of the boat building venture.

This venture has been supported financially by CDEP support funds and managed by Girringun Aboriginal Corporation.

Dinkum Tough Ducks has been registered as a company with the intention of producing the Tough Ducks for wider community customers.
