In November 2004 Aboriginal AFL legend Michael Long and prominent Aboriginal Elders embarked on an historic and remarkable journey, walking from Melbourne to Canberra to meet with Prime Minister John Howard.<p>
It was a statement of strength, leadership and inspiration. It was a step towards uniting all Australians. The support from Indigenous and non-Indigenous people was overwhelming. Most wished they could have walked with him.<P>
Now everyone has the opportunity to join Michael in The Long Walk 2005 on Sunday 4 December at Princes Park, Carlton, Victoria. <p>
Help bring about change. Walk with thousands of non-Indigenous and Indigenous Australians to improve everyones way of life.<p>
All Funds raised by The Long Walk will go to the Sir Douglas Nicholls Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership.<p>
