Ive always been a fan of Christines, kind of like a kindred sister in some ways and shes got a wicked sense of humour, so its going to be loads of fun. Were pretty spontaneous gals so each show will be a little unpredictable in a good way, says Deni with a mischievous glint her eye.
Deni and I have followed each others careers and our paths are very similar. We record albums, do musical theatre, TV etc. plus we keep bumping into each other, so it made sense for us to hit the road together, its going to be great, says Christine.
So the question on everyones lips is are they going to record together. Thats not out of the question, but youll just have to wait and see. Both Christine and Deni will be performing songs from their recent releases Acoustically (Christine Anu), Water For Chocolate & The Other Woman (Deni Hines) plus all their hits from Island Home to Aint No Sunshine, from Sunshine on a Rainy Day to Son of a Preacher Man, and much much more.
Christine has just returned from performances in LA and New York for GDay Australia and more recently promoting her ARIA and DEADLY nominated childrens brand Chrissys Island Family. She will release a new album mid 2008. Deni has just completed a successful tour with James Morrison in support of their Jazz album The Other Woman with near sell out shows and rave reviews. Deni will have a new single out in April and commence writing and recording later this year for a new album in 2009.
