Biwa is an Indigenous owned, managed business. It began in 2000 with a business plan, now achieving 90% of its goals.

The owner, Gloria Ann Lockyer is qualified in economic/finance majors, Masters in Aboriginal Economic Development has produced a Certificate One in Financial Literacy Training course. This dream began in 2001 while completing degree in Economics at Murdoch University in WA.

"My Professional experiences attributing to product design and R&D include Project Controls for Billion dollar Company projects as Cost Controller, Business Lecturer of TAFE College and many years of Research into Aboriginal Economic Development and Investment theories and data analysis."

Biwa Financial literacy Training course aims to introduce people to concepts in budgeting, managing income and expense, preparing forecasts, performance statements and learning about the 5 C's for credit assessment.

I have found through years of studies that these skills are enablers to helping people understand the basic financial management concepts needed in the household, on boards and in business. It is a key to assisting people to focus on the income/saving capacities needed in their community for future investments toward becoming self sustainable.

More importantly with these skills people will have the ability to change their lives through management of their income and expenses as they begin to understand the options available to help them to this.
