This Lecture will critically review how far we have travelled and where we are currently positioned, in relation to the lives of First Nations Peoples.
The David Unaipon College of Indigenous Education and Research, University of South Australia, and Yunggorendi First Nations Centre for Higher Education and Research, Flinders University presents:

Dr Watson belongs to the Tanganekald and Meintangk peoples of the Coorong and the south east of South Australia. She has published extensively in the area of Aboriginal rights and law, worked as a legal practitioner and was a member of the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement in SA from 1973 to 2005.
Dr Watson has also worked internationally at the UN Working Group on Indigenous Populations.
Dr Watson has worked with her family on the struggle to protect country, the recording of traditional language place names and oral histories, with much of that information self-published in 2002 in the short history volume Looking at You Looking at Me.
