Entrepreneurs Wanted to Travel the World

Your Big Year is seeking aspiring entrepreneurs to travel the world - and film it, photograph it and blog about it!

Starting in January 2011, the trip will last 12 months and take you to all five continents. Along the way,
the winners will meet and learn about entrepreneurs from different cultures and get tips from key
business figures from around the world.

Successful candidates will be expected to work on educational projects in South America and Asia,
conservation work in Australia and Africa, and summer camps in the USA.

They will also be expected to document their experiences through blogs and on film. Full media
training and kit will be supplied.

The position is unpaid but travel, accommodation and living expenses will be covered by Your Big Year.

The estimated value of this project is £35,000 but the experiences and skills you gain will be priceless.

Two successful candidates will be chosen following an extensive interview process designed to
reward those with initiative, energy and enterprising spirit.

How do I enter?
Register www.yourbigyear.com and fill in the details! Follow the instructions and keep an eye on your inbox. When you get your first email from us ensure that you follow the instructions to keep the emails out of your SPAM.

When can I register?
Registration has now opened and will remain open until October 22nd . However, the earlier you enter the more time you will have to fundraise and more opportunities you will have to get through a window of opportunity.

Do I have to pay to enter?
You do not have to pay anything to enter the competition. However we recommend that you take part in the fundraising element of the competition to increase your chances of getting through to the final 50.

What is the prize?
The prize is a year long trip around the world, giving the winner the opportunity to explore countries and continents, meet leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs, and become immersed in different cultures.

The competition is hosted by Smaller Earth Ltd. For more information visit www.smallerearth.com.

What is the purpose of your big year? To support enterprise and entrepreneurship. To support social responsibility and key charities. Develop self-awareness, global awareness, and global citizenship.

Why should I fundraise?
Any money raised will go to the chosen registered charities that will strongly support social entrepreneurship, global health issues and work to ensure global citizenship and a global perspective.

Who can enter Your Big Year?
The competition is open to all people over the age of 18. This is a global competition therefore it is open to people from any country.
