Chief Executive Officer, Kimberley Aboriginal Law and Culture Centre

Salary: 85,000 +

KALACC [Kimberley Aboriginal Law and Culture Centre] is the Kimberley Region's Peak Indigenous Law and Culture Centre. We are currently inviting expressions of interest for the role of CEO. Following a recent staffing restructure, KALACC will seek to employ a new CEO with specific Governance functions:

Working with the KALACC Board of Directors, the broader KALACC Executive and the membership;
Working with Kimberley elders more generally, especially in the four COAG RSD communities;
Working with partner organizations, including Kimberley Land Council and the Kimberley Language Resource Centre;
Working with Government agencies, especially in relation to the GOAG RSD and Tripartite processes;
Beyond the specific Governance functions, there are the normal expectations of a CEO in relation to overseeing the management of the organization - directly or through delegation.
Expressions of Interest

Persons interested in applying for the role of CEO are asked to firstly submit a short expression of interest to KALACC no later than Monday 06 December. Shorlisted applicants will then be asked to submit a longer application and to participate in an interview to occur in the week of 13 December. The successful applicant is asked to take up duty as soon as possible in to the new year.

Salary Package

The salary for this position is $85, 000 in year one, with annual increment thereafter. In addition, the full package of entitlements includes superannuation, subsidized housing and primary use of vehicles. Total value of approximately $100, 000.

Extensive travel is a non-negotiable requirement. The position is based in Fitzroy Crossing but services the entire Kimberley Region.
