Grand Final at YEA Football Club Rumba Teams will be playing in the following games
Under 14's 8.45 am
B Reserve Netball 11.00 am
Seniors 2.30 pm
The club has had a fantastic year with all teams making the final series. We have 3 teams in the Grand Final today. Seniors, Under 14's in the football and B reserve in the Netball. We know that the training and commitment that these teams have been doing will do Rumba and our supporters proud.
We thank our sponsors, volunteers, members, coaches, players and staff of the club as it their commitment that has meant success to the club this year.
The Seniors were magnificent this year and finishing on the top of the home and away table and then having a great win in the second semi final, so that they were able to go straight into the Grand Final. We believe that Yea will be strong opposition on their home ground. The club has been intensively training and you will see the best of the whole team. The commitment of Alan Thorpe and his assistant coaches: Mick Chisholm and Phil Guthrie have prepared the team well. Good Luck to all
Under 14's
This team has been magnificent through out the final series and have stepped up to each challenge. The great win they had last Saturday was wonderful to watch with every player contributing to the highest standard.
The work of Dallas Terlich (Coach), Cynthia Newton King (team manager) Shannon, Merv and Nerida has been excellent and their continued hard work and support of the boys has seen them earn their place in the Grand Final this week. Go Rumba
B Reserves Netball has been committed this season and their win last week was great to watch. The team all worked well together and moved around the court in a winning way!
All members of the team have great skills and we know that they will all gel this week and all supporters will see a great game. Good Luck Rumba
B Grade Netball unfortunately lost last Saturday but has had a great season.
Brad Firebrace won the league goal kicking award Congratulations. Phil Guthrie can runner up in the Leagues Best and Fairest, great effort in the first year with the club and considering he was not able to paly each game.
