Carol Martin - Salmon Waters

01 November 2005

My Soul, My Heart, My Home
First Parliamentary Term Series
An On-Line Exhibition by Carol Martin MLA
Acrylic on Canvass 350 mm x 460 mm

Story: The colours of the water in Roebuck bay when the salmon are running. The easterly winds come and the water is cloudy. The wind blows and you know the salmon are coming. This Salmon Water piece is a bit darker than the other one as it is painted with the afternoon light.

Detail: The image for this piece was captured at a time when I was flying with my friend Peter Altman in his Barron, out of Broome. All I could think of was the fact that I had missed out on the salmon fishing.

This painting has been sold on-line on November 1, 2005
