Goolarri Media Enterprises Pty Ltd is building a phased development of its music arm Gimme Music. As Gimme Music develops Goolarri is seeking expressions of interest from potential partners and joint venture investors to develop the production, publishing and marketing side of its music business.
Gimme Music is based upon the the Gimme Music production facilities as well as the development of the Gimme Music publishing group and Label.
Alongside these developments a constant emphasis remains on the role of Broome Musicians Aboriginal Corporation's [BMAC] ethos and the long term empowerment of musicians and artists from the region through the development of these facilities and the establishment of the publishing group and Gimme music label.
The Gimme Music strategy is a clear way of achieving a sustainable and long term outcome for the music Industry and musicians from the Kimberley and surrounding regions.
Vision
Goolarri Media Enterprises is dedicated to the development of a Sustainable Indigenous Music Industry in the North West of Western Australia. By taking a commercial approach to music development, marketing and distribution, Goolarri will build a production group, a publishing arm, a label and product range that will be competitive in the state of Western Australia, nationally, and internationally through its supply chain and distribution network.
Project
Goolarri Media Enterprises through Gimme Music is seeking support through direct investment and partnerships to assist in the career development of Goolarri performing artists, the establishment of the publishing arm and label and the capital upgrade of our music production facilities.
In the areas of publishing and distribution we are looking for partnerships with skilled Industry specialists linked to our reality based training model and our Regional Training Organization [RTO] Status.
The nature of the organization means that we are continually capacity building and ensuring that staff are trained in all areas of music production and management. It is our aim to increase our capabilities through direct funding investments and specialist partnerships arrangements.
Timeline
Gimme Music begins in May 2004. with its Family Concert tour that is currently on tour, throughout the Kimberley.
