Rumbalara Football Netball Club Update

The Grand Final week is now over and with Under 14s winning the Grand Final the club has had a successful season. The club acknowledges the hard work put in by many people over the season we thank the Board, players, coaches, trainers, volunteers,staff, supporters and sponsors.
Thursday Night saw over 200 people attend the Junior Presentation Night Congratulations to all winners. (There will be details of winners in Junior and Seniors next week)
The club had a wonderful night on Friday Night with Gerard Neisham, all who attended found his story to be very interesting and was inspirational
The Grand Final at Yea.
The day started very early with the Under 14's the boys did the club proud. Under coach Dallas Terlich, the well disciplined side showed all they had learnt and this coupled with their enthusiasm and talent gave them a great win. Final Score: Rumbalara 9.3 to Alexandra 2.6 Rodney Bamblett won the best player award. Jason Atkinson won the VCFL Junior Development Medal. The boys celebrated back at the club rooms with the trophy and watching a video of the game.
B Reserve Netball Team lost after a determined effort. Shepparton East 40 Rumbalara 39. The game ended in a draw and then in the time on Shepparton East scored.the winning goal.
Yea with their home ground advantage were too strong for Rumbalara Seniors Yea 9.12 to Rumbalara 8.9.The team spent the time before the game doing drills and were then addressed by our Number 1 ticket Holder Christine Nixon and the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs Gavin Jennings. The Goals were kicked by Phil Guthrie 2 D Terlich2 M Harrison T Morgan M Chisholm and Brad Firebrace. Rumbalara Best: D Morgan, T Higgins, E Atkinson P Guthrie G Johnson and C Edwards.Alan Thorpe and the players have put in a great season and did well to finish on top of the ladder for the home and away season and to contest the Grand Final right to the end.
