Support Eddie Currie to win more investment for his business

Eddie has won $25,000 to help him realise his dream, an Indigenous Nursery growing herbs and spices that can be used in a range of bushtucker sauces, jams, spice blends, fruit products and chutneys.There were over 4,400 enteries this year from Australia and New Zealand.

September 12, 2005 - Eddie Currie will be announced as a winner of this year's Nescafe Big Break, the first Aboriginal person to get to this stage in it's 10 year history. Eddie has won $25,000 to help him realise his dream, an Indigenous Nursery growing herbs and spices that can be used in a range of bushtucker sauces, jams, spice blends, fruit products and chutneys.There were over 4,400 enteries this year from Australia and New Zealand.

Eddie has called his business "Murri Magic", a deadly name, eh?

Eddie, known as "Squeaky" to his friends, hopes to be able to provide opportunities for others and his family.

Eddie is an 18 year old Indigenous Australian of Mununjali heritage, the people of the hard baked earth from Beaudesert, just south of Brisbane.

The Mununjali speak Yugambeh language and stand on Bundjalung land. Eddie is currently living in Yeppoon - jewel of Queensland's Capricorn Coast.

The public can vote for one of this year's 6 winners to double their prize.
