Annika's Yawuru Performance

19 year old Annika Pitt's performance of Natives of the Land and Sea moved everyone at the Yawuru Trading Floor. Annika is well known as a radio announcer on Goolarri Radio but her singing draws praise from everyone who hears her.

Natives of the Land and Sea was written by Marcia Ware and first performed nationally in the second series of the "Mary G TV Show" produced by Goolarri in 2002 and shown on SBS in 2003. Annika is accompanied by Lyndon Jenkins.
If you didn't make it to Broome now you can see for yourself why Broome's music savvy elders were calling for Annika to sing it again and again in the celebration that followed the ISX trading floor.
