YJMAC was incorporated in 2004 and has since recorded previously undocumented traditional bio-cultural knowledge such as stories, hunting, gathering, ceremonial practices, art, use of bush foods and medicine, language, ethics, clan boundaries, sacred sites, family histories and land management practices.

During this project Elders, who have now passed on, shared knowledge which would otherwise been lost to future EKY generations.

The idea of Valerys Southern Cross family transport is an innovative solution to the high costs of transport for an extended Aboriginal family in Nhulunbuy.

Currently many of the 200 odd residents at Wallaby Beach pay a $50 one way taxi fare to the town of Nhulunbuy where the major shopping and administrative services for the area are located.
Only a few families can afford motor cars.

Join local Aboriginal guide Juan Walker on his half and full day tours as well as private charter tours, that visit the Mossman/ Daintree region and are led by experienced local Kuku Yalanji tour guide. Learn about the local rainforest Aboriginal people, whilst visiting culturally significant and interesting sights of this region.

Currently there are diverse groups who wish to use this application but do not have the capacity for understanding the online capabilities of the internet.

Balkanu is aiming to attract investment in fish farming on indigenous lands in Cape York.

Balkanu is an indigenous business development organisation based in Cairns. We work closely with indigenous communities, land trusts, and individuals throughout Cape York. Our objective is the development of new business and investment on the Cape, working with indigenous people to grow the local economy.
