The Long Walk
"This isn't about Indigenous Australia and white Australia, this is about ALL Australia." Michael Long In November 2004 Aboriginal AFL legend Michael Long and prominent Aboriginal Elders embarked on an historic and remarkable journey, walking from Melbourne to Canberra to meet with Prime Minister John Howard. It was a statement of strength, leadership and inspiration. It was a step towards uniting all Australians. The support from Indigenous and non-Indigenous people was overwhelming. Most wished they could have walked with him. Now everyone has the opportunity to join Michael in The Long Walk 2005 on Sunday 4 December at Princes Park, Carlton, Victoria. Help bring about change. Walk with thousands of non-Indigenous and Indigenous Australians to improve everyone's way of life. All Funds raised by The Long Walk will go to the Sir Douglas Nicholls Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership. Take the first step and REGISTER NOW. Go to the website below.
